AUDITIONS FOR STAGE LEFT
Sage Left auditions are (potentially) held twice throughout our season to cast roles for the 2 Stage Left Productions. Auditions are usually held in Stage Left, and sometimes span multiple days depending upon the type of show and size of cast.
Casting is always at the Director's discretion, but VLT has a policy that all volunteers from the community are allowed to audition.
It is usually recommended that you read the play prior to auditioning. Plays are normally available before auditions for 24 hour checkout from the VLT box office.
Most auditions are simply cold readings from prepared sides or scenes from the script of the play. Some directors may have additional requirements for their auditions, such as prepared monologues, songs, or dance segments, dependent upon needs for the show and their preference. Please check the notice for any specifics for that particular audition.
To help you come prepared for auditions, please come with the following:
If you have any specific questions regarding auditions or the play, please contact the director via the email provided on the show's audition page.
Break a leg and we hope to see you on stage!
