Book by David Auburn
Directed by Larry Fried

April 26 - May 5
Thurs - Sat 7:30pm, Sun 2:00pm

On the eve of her twenty-fifth birthday, Catherine teeters on the precipice between genius and madness.  After years of caring for Robert, her famous mathematician father, things could go either way.  So brilliant in his youth, Robert’s mind turned against him before reaching Catherine’s age.  Robert believed Catherine could exceed his own math achievements. Catherine wonders if she has inherited his mental instability. Her very stable and professional sister, Claire offers to take care of her.  Former student, Hal is set on finding some undiscovered gem in the hundreds of rant-filled notebooks left by Robert.  Catherine knows better, but likes having Hal around.  Romance blooms, and in her happiness, Catherine provides Hal the key to a secret she has held back from everyone else.

In this often funny, Pulitzer and Tony award winning play; David Auburn raises many questions about what might be unanswerable, yet goes to the heart of our vulnerable humanity.
