This energetic comedy mixes celebrity worship, backstage maneuverings, and mistaken identities on a grand scale, with double-entendres, amorous interludes, and lots of incidental surprises!
It is hoped that a world famous tenor playing Othello will put the Cleveland opera on the map. But the star is late and has been drinking. A series of mishaps put the star to sleep and the general manager's assistant on the stage in his place. Later, the star comes to, gets into costume, and soon there are two Othellos running around in costume and two women running around in lingerie.
