A farce, by Ray Cooney.

Henry Perkins, a mild-mannered CPA, accidentally picks up the wrong briefcase—one stuffed with money. He assumes it is illicit cash, and decides to keep it. He books one-way fares to Barcelona and tells his confused wife to leave everything behind. As they wait for their taxi two police detectives arrive and Henry finds himself in a hilarious and increasingly complicated series of fibs to avoid getting busted.

Funny Money opens October 17, 2008; directed by Chris Pinto.

An Opening Night Gala will follow the October 17 performance, with the audience invited to enjoy free refreshments with the cast in VLT’s Stage Left.
